I have a hard time concentrating. Anyone who know me well will not be surprised by this. I often move form spot to spot as if I were searching for a wi-fi hotspot for my brain. I’m glad that my mind seems to have dedicated hosting, even if the overall server goes down occasionally, not to mention the occasional crash. I have different places for the different types of thinking I have to do. I walk from place to place if I’m trying to memorize something; the motion actually helps me make the connection. I like to read in a comfortable chair, with my feet up, but only if I’m reading fiction. I absorb non-fiction better if I’m sitting at a table. If I’m re reading something, I like to cuddle up under an afghan. If I’m writing, I write better if a crime drama is playing quietly in the background.
